Download Instagram Videos on Android
Step by step, plus the Instagram details that matter.
The Short Answer
To download an Instagram video on Android, copy the link of the Reel or post, open VidBlaze, paste the link (or share it straight to VidBlaze) and pick a quality. The video is saved to the Download/VidBlaze folder on your phone. This works for public posts; VidBlaze has no Instagram login, so private accounts are out of reach.
How to Download Instagram Videos
- Install VidBlaze. Download the VidBlaze APK from vidblaze.app and install it. Our APK install guide walks you through it the first time.
- Copy or share the Instagram link. Under the Reel or post, tap the Share icon (the paper plane). Choose Copy link, or pick VidBlaze from the share options if it is listed.
- Open the link in VidBlaze. If you shared the video to VidBlaze, it opens with the link ready. Otherwise open VidBlaze, tap Paste and then Download.
- Pick a quality. Wait a moment for the quality list to load, then choose one. Larger sizes look sharper but take more storage and data.
- Let it download. The download keeps going in the background, even with the screen off, and you can pause and resume it. The finished video is saved to the Download/VidBlaze folder.
Instagram links look like instagram.com/reel/… or instagram.com/p/…
Good to Know About Instagram
Public posts only
VidBlaze does not sign in to Instagram. Videos from private accounts, and anything else Instagram only shows to logged-in users, can't be downloaded — the app tells you the video needs a login.
Quality options look different
Instagram videos are often vertical or square, so the quality list shows the sizes Instagram actually provides rather than the usual 480p, 720p and 1080p steps. Pick the largest for the sharpest picture, or a smaller one to save space.
Audio only
If Instagram offers an audio-only version of the video, it appears in the quality list, so you can keep just the sound.
Download Responsibly
Only download videos you have the right to save — your own uploads, content with a licence that allows it, or videos the creator lets you keep. VidBlaze doesn't download private, paid or protected content. See our Terms of Use and Copyright & DMCA Policy.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I download Instagram Reels with VidBlaze?
Yes. Copy the Reel's link or share it to VidBlaze, choose a quality and tap Download. Reels from public accounts save like any other video.
Can I download videos from a private Instagram account?
No. VidBlaze has no Instagram login, so it can only see what Instagram shows to everyone. For a private video, VidBlaze shows a message that the video needs a login.
Where are downloaded Instagram videos saved?
In the Download/VidBlaze folder in your phone's internal storage. You can play them from VidBlaze, or open Files (My Files on Samsung) › Downloads › VidBlaze.
Does Instagram know I downloaded a video?
VidBlaze doesn't use your Instagram account, so the download isn't linked to it. Please only save videos you have the right to keep, and respect the creator's rights.
